A poem on life and the swiftness of time.

Even as a moment happens – it is over.

A year of frenetic planning and it is a wedding.

Nine months of wonder and changes and it is a baby.

Eleven months and December is compressed into nanoseconds.

Years of compulsive and elective education and it is THE degree.

Seasons come, seasons go. Awfully sudden.

Electronics become as rapid and as incomprehensible as electricity.

Strangers offer incredible kindnesses that change a mindset.

A slice of lemon, sprinkles of sweetener, leaves of tea – clearly a reason for night morphing into day.

Peel and pare, slice and dice, add love and mayo and it is Mom’s potato salad.

In a twinkling life becomes a legacy.
